On Kalshi's 15-minute XRP market it checks every 10 seconds, buying 50 contracts of YES or NO only in the final 210 to 30 seconds before expiry, when the spread is 0.03 or tighter and four XRP price-change and speed readings all point the same direction. It exits an open position on price or bid thresholds, a loss of 24, or a near-certain ask, and cancels everything at expiry.
